Store ethics

Our pieces are made and shipped from India by our dedicated team. We ensure fair and respectful working conditions, and all of our seamstresses are local artisans who are paid according to the demand for their work. We do not enforce fixed price lists on them, allowing them the freedom and fairness they deserve.

Based in the heart of embroidered artistry and quality fabrics, we source all of our materials locally from sellers across India. However, if a special request is made for a particular fabric, we are also able to source materials internationally to bring your vision to life.

We ensure our seamstresses work in stress-free and safe environments. They work in comfortable temperatures and are free to take leave as needed within reasonable demands. At Memories: The Light, we do not interfere much with the making process in order to maintain peaceful working conditions. Here, we don’t “hire” seamstresses  we collaborate with them. It’s what makes us unique.

If you'd like to know more about our practices then kindly email us at archiveofmemories@memoriesthelight.com we'd be happy to answer your questions!
